About Alzheimer's Australia VIC

Alzheimer’s Australia Vic is the state’s peak body for dementia and related services. We provide education, support, advocacy and information for Victorians living with dementia, their families and carers and the health profession.

We are here for people affected by all forms of dementia including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body disease, Frontal Temporal Dementia, and mild cognitive impairment, no matter what your age.

There are an estimated 81,000 people living with dementia in Victoria and 342,800 throughout Australia.

Each year over 25,000 people access our services which include: education courses, community seminars, counselling, information through our library and website and programs such as The Memory Lane Café and the Living with Memory Loss Program. 

Founded in 1983, Alzheimer’s Australia Vic is a leader is risk reduction, dementia policy and services. Our vision for the future is that one day we will live in a dementia free society.
