What do I do if I receive cash donations or a cheque?

The easiest thing to do is to keep the cash or cheque and make the payment online using your credit card. If you do not want to pay your donations online, please fill out the Sponsorship Form in your race pack or or email kristin.marshall@alzheimers.org.au to request further forms, follow the steps and send it to us.

I’d like to put a poster up at my workplace/gym, can I do that?

Go for it!! We would love you to put up as many posters as possible. We also have flyers available. If you’d like some to distribute, please call 03 9816 5746 or email kristin.marshall@alzheimers.org.au

How do I get my friends to sponsor me to help me reach my fundraising target?

Use the tools under the Fundraising Tips for ideas – we have lots of helpful tips there. The approach we find works best is as follows:

Step 1: Set up your fundraising page;

Step 2: Email ALL your friends, family and co-workers inviting them to join your team. If they say yes, show them how to enter;

Step 3: If they say no, invite them to sponsor you instead. Let them know that for as little as $30 you can enable a 22 minute Helpline call to take place and help someone impacted by dementia.

Where can I find out more information about dementia?

You can head over to our website or download our key facts and statistics information sheet.

Please note: the use of headphones can impede an individual’s ability to hear marshals or other course officials, as well as other track users and vehicles. Participants who choose to wear headphones on course do so at their own risk and are asked to pay attention to officials and other participants throughout their event.
