I'm raising $75K for Dementia Australia by age 75

After a break from fundraising in 2024, I’m back at it - taking on a 10km run this November as part of my ongoing 75by75 challenge.

My dear mum, Margaret, turned 75 in 2020 and sadly passed away at the end of that year. On her behalf, I resolved to raise $75,000 for Dementia Australia by the time I turn 75 myself. With the support of friends, family, colleagues and others in the community who care about this cause, we’re well on the way.

Now, as I take on challenges like this, I think also of my dad, Des, who was a great supporter of this fundraising effort — and of Mum, always.

So far, we’ve raised just over $19,000! You can see the total tally, updated monthly, at sites.google.com/view/75by75.

Dementia is now Australia’s leading cause of death, and more than 420,000 Australians are living with it today.

Any amount you can chip in goes directly to Dementia Australia, supporting people like mum and families like mine through vital services, education, and research.

Thank you for your support and encouragement,
Mark
