This time next week Lucy & I would have hopefully completed our 6km walk, and daughter Zara definitely would have completed her 10km run in aid of raising money for Dementia Memory Walk & Jog Event at Glenelg.

Wanting to share once again the fundraising page for anyone interested in donating.

WOW Our donations have exceeded our expectations.
We have reached our $1,000 target so let's see if it is possible to reach maybe $2,000. :)

This cause is something very dear to our hearts and watching our beautiful Mum/Nonna slowly being taken away from us with this dreadful disease is heartbreaking :(

I have shared some recent photos in MY GALLERY in this blog so I hope they can be seen.
They are of mum with her 4 children, Lucy, Nick Rosa and I at Helping Hand Golden Grove in the Cafe and outside in their beautiful garden. Also a photo of my daughters Zoe & Zara when they visited their Nonna recently.
I tend to only share the lovely smiley photos of us with mum as it can be a tad sad when you visit and find mum sound asleep during the day, when all you want to do is have a cup of coffee, cake, chit chat and a laugh or two.........but hey that's fine, sitting next to her holding her hand, stroking her tender soft skin and telling her that we love her dearly, and every now and then she will open her eyes and smile.
Then other days she is wide awake, with it, happy, talkative as if nothing is wrong.
Then there are times when mum is very aggressive and agitated and we know that this is not our mum but its all part of the Dementia disease, as sad as it is. 
She is still our mum, and the best Mum & Nonna that there is. 
BEST OF ALL IS THAT SHE STILL RECOGNISES US ALL WHICH PLACES A HUGE SMILE ON OUR FACES :)      LOVE YOU MUM xxxxxx

Help me raise money in honour of my Mum, Grace Storelli and the 400,000 Australian’s living with dementia.

On Sunday, 24 March, I'm taking part in Adelaide's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australian's impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.

Please make a donation to support my efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's second-leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australian's will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

Together we can achieve a lot. Your donation would mean the world to me.
