Juliet’s Brain Fighters!
On Sunday, 21 June, we are taking part in Perth's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australians impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.
My beautiful Mum, Juliet, was diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease caused by chemotherapy she received for lymphoma. Dementia is not one specific disease- it’s a term to describe a collection of symptoms caused by disorders affecting the brain. For Mum, this is impacting her memory, thinking, behaviour, personality, mobility and so much more.
Watching someone you love change because of this disease is heartbreaking in ways that are impossible to fully explain. Mum is strong, funny, intelligent, caring and so deeply loved by her friends and family.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.
All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.
