Today my Facebook memories popped up with a photo of Aunty Pat, Rhiarne and I - today marks 4 years since Aunty Pat moved into a care facility, where her family visit her everyday. I’m doing this as much for them as I am Aunty Pat, we love you guys xxStarting Early - 27th April 🏃🏻♀️🌨❄️
We have decided to start a few days early as the weather over weekend is going to be raining and freezing and I’m still waiting for Emmy’s Rain cover for her Pram 😩Training!
We did another 4.9kms today in training!I’m doing MY Memory Walk for my darling Aunty Pat and to raise funds for individuals and families affected by Dementia.
I’ll be completing MY Memory Walk to raise funds to support people with Dementia, a cause very close to my heart, as my beautiful Aunty Pat who is like a Grandmother to me has Dementia, and other loved family members abroad and I have seen first hand the devastating impact of this insidious disease on not only the individual but their families.
It hurts Aunty Pat won’t get to know Emilia as I know she would absolutely adore her. I miss her terribly.
Times are hard but please if you’re able to make a donation even $2 to support my efforts and help me reach my goal to beat dementia, it would be so greatly appreciated.
All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
