Minor set backs
Along the way this year, there have been a few minor set backs with my walking/running. Such as, in August 2019, I had a two week holiday in Bali and didn't complete many timed walks - walked pretty much everywhere though. And I've had a couple of procedures where I haven't been able to exercise afterwards. Each minor setback that occurs, I know I just have to push myself harder in the next week or month to make up for it.I’m doing a MY Memory Walk & Jog for my Grandfather and to raise funds for people with dementia!
As some of you may be aware, every year I run/walk/jog a certain amount of km in a month to raise money for Dementia Australia.
Each year I increase the distance or level to make it harder. This year I went all out. At the end of May last year, I made the goal to walk/run/jog 1000000 metres in a year (June 2019-May 2020). I am now coming into my last month of this and am definitely on track. It's been a hard year but nothing is as hard as what my grandfather and grandmother have been through.

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training.
