I'm getting active and raising funds for people with dementia!
It is estimated that per year, 250 Australians are diagnosed with Dementia related illnesses, my Nan being one of those diagnosed in 2016! For her, and the other 447,115 Australians that are currently battling this terrible disease - I am challenging myself to run 250km in 30 days (which approximates to just under 9km per day), to raise much needed money for Dementia Australia. While to some it may not seem like that much, anyone who knows me is aware that my physical resilience is one of my weakest attributes and will prove to be the best way to be challenged in a similar fashion to how the friends and family of those who suffer with Dementia are challenged every day!
All donations will go towards Dementia Australia's ability to provide vital support services, such as counselling, support groups and education to help family, carers and professional training.
Please donate whatever you can to this fantastic cause and show me as much support as possible to get through what is going to be a long 30 days and 250km!
