We can do hard things
I don’t love running. It’s free, it’s good for you, but I find it hard - and frankly, the best part is when it’s over. But sometimes, we do hard things, not because we enjoy them - but because they matter.
Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease that slowly takes pieces of the ones we love. My dad has been diagnosed with this disease, and while I can’t change that, I can do something. All we have is time and this is how I'm choosing to spend mine - running 10kms to remind myself that I can do hard things.
