Share my fundraising effort with your network and let's beat dementia, together.

I'm raising money for my Grandfather, Keith and the 433,300 Australians living with dementia.

On Sunday, 14 June, I'm taking part in Brisbane's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australians impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.

Please make a donation to support my efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

Together we can achieve a lot. Your donation would mean the world to me.

Thanks for your support!

My Updates

Grandad's Story

On the 26th of January 2026, my Grandad, Keith, went into hospital and never got to return to his home.

My Grandad was a proud, family man, and seeing him in his final weeks in the state that he was, was heartbreaking for the whole family.

After multiple discussions with Doctors and Nurses. bookings and un-bookings of CT scans and MRI's; the medical staff looking after Grandad came to the final diagnosis of rapid onset Dementia, after suffering from Parkinson's Disease for many years.

Grandad was suffering with delusions which caused him to be in a state of panic. Between the delusions, panic and pain, Grandad had stopped eating, drinking, and taking his medication. Grandad had a line of fluids being pumped into his body to ensure his body was still receiving something into his system.

On Tuesday 3rd of February, Grandad ripped that line out. On Wednesday 4th of February, the family came to the difficult decision to begin Grandad on Palliative Care

On Tuesday 10th of February, I woke to a message that Grandad had passed peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of that morning.
On Thursday 19th of February, we said goodbye to Grandad for the last time, where he was laid to rest with his beautiful wife, Elaine, who passed in 2014.

Grandad loved watching his Saturday afternoon horse racing, after placing his bets on at the TAB that morning. He loved old Western Films and crime shows. He loved a glass of rum. But most of all, Grandad loved his family.

Watching Grandad suffer the way he was, broke all our hearts in ways we couldn't ever imagine.

On Sunday 1st of February 2026, I gave my Grandad a kiss on his forehead and told him I loved him, unknowingly for the last time.
