Geelong DIY Memory Walk & Jog

“Mum may forget, but my sister and i will cherish the memory of this glorious morning spent walking and laughing.

This is the second Memory Walk & Jog we have now participated in, and both have been just amazing. We walk for my mother Ingrid who was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer's a few years ago at the age of 53. We are very lucky to have such amazing family/friends who supported us, both in getting up early on a Sunday to walk, but also in their fundraising efforts and contributions. We only heard that the Memory Walk Geelong was back on about 2 weeks prior, and still managed to exceed our fundraising target and get a group of 21 amazing people together to support us and our lovely Mum.

We can't wait to participate again next year and this will definitely be an annual event for us. It's an emotional but amazing thing to be a part of."
