The young carers community are walking to raise funds and awareness for people impacted by dementia.
Y-Care was founded to support young people aged 18–35 who are caring for a loved one living with dementia.
Recognising the unique challenges young carers face — like balancing study, work, and personal life while providing care — Y-Care creates a space where they can connect, share experiences, and access support tailored to their needs. You can find out more at our website: ycareofdementia.com.au
We are excited to be taking part in the Sydney Memory Walk & Jog, and engaging in a community that helps young carers feel understood, empowered, and less alone in their journey. We hope to raise money for services such as counselling, education, and research for dementia.

"Go Team! Such a much needed cause to raise money for! Both my children found themselves as young carers at the age of 9&12 when their dad was diagnosed with YOD at the age of 41. Congratulations on seeing this much needed gap!"
