Doin’ it for Dads – Why We’re Hitting the Ground Running
We’re Tiff and Charlotte — two friends on a mission. Dementia has touched both of our families in deeply personal ways, and instead of sitting with the heartbreak, we’re turning it into action. We’re raising money for dementia research because we believe in better futures, better treatments, and more moments with the people we love.
From Tiff: My dad was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s this year, just after retiring from 30 years as a coach driver. He’s spent his life on the road — from Melbourne all the way to Uluṟu (three times!) — and he’s not slowing down now. Even with everything changing, he’s planning a road trip to WA next year. His determination is unreal, and it inspires me every day. This one’s for dad, who proves you can still chase adventure no matter what life throws at you.
From Charlotte: My beautiful dad passed away in early 2024 from Lewy Body Dementia. He was vibrant, joyful, and full of love — the kind of man you imagine living a long, happy retirement travelling the world with my mum. He discovered running later in life and absolutely loved it, so I’m taking on this challenge in his honour. Running for you, papa — and carrying your joy with me every step.
We're all grateful for any amount you can give.
