We're participating in the Melbourne Memory Walk & Jog in honour of our Grandma and to raise funds and awareness for the 400,000 Australian's living with dementia.
On Sunday, 5 May, my family will be joiningΒ the MelbourneΒ Memory Walk & Jog in honour of our beloved grandma ιΏε© who battled with dementia.Β She was a survivor of the Khmer Rouge, a Cambodian refugee, a strong single mum who raised our dad and filled our lives with love, even as she battled dementia.
Dementia is now the second leading cause of death in Australia, and with our aging population, the numbers are only expected to rise. By 2058, over 800,000 Australians could be affected. We urgently need more research and support to tackle this growing crisis.
This cause holds immense significance to us, and your support would mean the world.
