I'm raising money for my Dad Garry knight who is my absolute hero and my other half ❤️ Massive shout out to my friend and lovely work colleague Amy for making this happen and running 10K!!!My father has had the privilege of watching her grow and start her own family…even if he still thinks she’s pregnant with her first child who is now in primary school 😂 Dad never misses a chance to stop in, ringing the bell and the first thing he asks as he walks straight past me is “ Where is Amy” then goes down the list of people he insists on visiting!!
Also big shoutout to my Annie Dennis work colleagues, who are not just amazing humans but also dedicated, inspiring Educators, staff and people who I can proudly call family. 18 years of working at AD,fresh out of Uni and really a child myself…
The Annie Dennis community has been my home away from home, my safe haven during hard time…never more so then right now in this very moment.
Working there has given me purpose and is rewarding beyond words.
We have watched each other grow personally and professionally and I know myself that I have many educators, management and staff to thank for shaping and grounding me when i may or may not…become “easily” distracted as I’m singing my way down the corridors to the toilet or wherever I think I’m going. P.S I don’t do that anymore 😉
My parents, especially my father, often expresses how grateful he is and how lucky i am to be apart of The AD community.
He knows I’m in good hands with every one of you, he knows you have and will be there for the good, bad and all my relentless singing 🎵
You are all awesome so let’s get walking, running, dancing or crawling to raise awareness and support for those living with dementia!! ❤️🫶🏽😘
