1. Lead the pack!

Show your commitment to fundraising by donating to your own fundraising page. This will encourage others to support you and highlight your commitment.

2. Inspire with your story

Let your supporters know why this is a cause close to your heart and why you are participating. Your supporters want to feel connected and sharing your passion with an inspiring story always helps.

3. Share, share, share!

The best way to gain support is to reach out to your network. Post your page on your Facebook or send out an email to family and friends! The more you share the more likely you are to receive donations. If someone isn’t able to donate to you, ask them to share your page to their network to expand your supporter list!

4. #Selfie time

Fundraisers with pictures on their page have shown to raise more money than those who don’t. So get your camera out and have some fun! A great reason for a #selfie.

5. Get your work involved

Get your work place behind you! Ask your employer if they would like to match employee donations. Or if they can’t do this, ask if they are happy for you to hold an event like a movie night where employees pay to attend and all the money can be added to your fundraising page.

6. Be unique and have fun!

Everyone loves a little bit of silliness, think of unique ways to get people excited about your fundraising. “If I reach $500, I’ll record myself doing a silly dance in an elephant costume representing Al the Elephant and post it on my Facebook.”
