Share my fundraising effort with your network and let's beat dementia, together.

I'm raising money walking for our lovely Dad George Pitsakos and the 433,300 Australians living with dementia.

On Saturday, 2 May, I'm taking part in Ballarat's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australians impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support.

Please make a donation to support my efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

Together we can achieve a lot. Your donation would mean the world to me.

Thanks for your support!

My Updates

Dad would be so proud! x

I am beyond grateful for the incredible generosity and support I’ve received. When I first set out, I had a goal in mind — and thanks to all of you, I have not only reached it, but well and truly surpassed it. I am now close to $3,000, and I simply could not have done this without you.

I feel so deeply humbled. If I’m honest, I don’t think I realised just how many people in my life would step forward to support me like this. I’ve never been very good at asking for help, so I’ve never really given myself the chance to witness something like this — and it has meant more to me than I can put into words. It’s shown me the kindness, generosity, and connection that exists all around me.

Giving has always come naturally to me. Supporting others, being there when someone needs it — that’s something I do without hesitation. But receiving… that’s something I’ve always found much harder. This experience has gently reminded me that it’s okay to be on the receiving end too.

Caring for Dad was never a burden — it was a privilege. His love meant everything to me. He was the first man in my life who truly showed me what unconditional love looked like, and because of that, giving it back to him felt so natural, so safe. Every bit of love I gave was always met with gratitude and warmth, and I would do it a thousand times over if I had the chance.

I miss him every single day. There is an ache in my heart where his presence once lived. But I carry him with me in everything I do, and I truly believe he would be so proud of this. I can almost hear him cheering me on.

He loved his girls endlessly. He was our biggest supporter, our champion, always in our corner. And in many ways, this feels like a way to honour him — to keep that love, strength, and spirit alive.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me do that.

Natasha

Dad- My love for you knows no bounds! Help me do more!

I feel incredibly blessed and deeply grateful for the support I’ve received so far. Thanks to the generosity of my amazing sponsors, I’ve surpassed $1,295—something I truly couldn’t have achieved on my own. My gratitude is truly heartfelt.

This cause is very close to my heart. My dad, George, meant the absolute world to me. Watching him battle dementia was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. It’s a cruel disease that takes so much—not just from those living with it, but from the people who love them. That journey is what drives me to do whatever I can to support this incredibly worthy cause.

Because of your kindness and encouragement, I’ve decided to aim even higher. I’m now working toward Dementia Australia’s Platinum fundraising target of $2,500. Every dollar raised helps fund vital research, support services, and hope for families facing this devastating illness.

If you’re able to support me—whether by donating, sharing, or simply spreading the word—I would be so incredibly grateful. Together, we can make a real difference and honour the people we love.

Thank you for standing beside me on this journey 💛

Natasha xx

Thank you for your continued support- Please help me do more!!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has donated.

I have almost reached my goal of $1,000, and I couldn’t be more overjoyed.

Caring for someone with dementia is a tough road to navigate—for both those living with the condition and their carers. We couldn’t have done it without the support of Dementia Australia.

I would have moved heaven and earth to do anything to make that road smoother for Dad—and indeed we did. If I can help raise money for a cause so close to my heart, and make that road smoother for others navigating it, then I am completely driven to do so.

Please help me reach a platinum target of $2,500. It’s a big ask, and I am working hard to raise as much support as I can.

If you can help me reach this goal, please consider sharing my story and appeal with anyone who has the ability and generosity to support this cause.

Much love to all,
Natasha

Thank you for your support!

Thank you to all my amazing sponsors who have donated today, I am overjoyed by your generosity and enthusiasm. As I have reached my initial target of $500 in only a few days since sharing this event with friends and family. I have decided to increase my fundraising goal to $1000.

For those of you who are yet to donate, please do so and help me reach Gold Dementia Warrior status.

With all my love and gratitude
Natasha xx

Kapiti morning walk in preparation for the MWJ in Ballarat

You couldn't ask for a better natural beauty to enjoy while preparing to walk for the MWJ in Ballarat. Dad you were with me the whole way.  TASH xx

I'm raising money walking for our lovely Dad George Pitsakos and the 433,300 Australians living with dementia.

Dad suffered from Alzheimer's related Dementia for the last 8 years. He loved life and was so fun and vibrant. We watched as Dementia slowly took pieces of this vibrancy away and supported him throughout the whole process. I am walking to raise money for the many Australia's that care for people with Dementia every day. Please support me to help in turn support Dementia Australia to help them and those suffering from Dementia.

Thank you to my sponsors
