Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's second-leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australians will have dementia. But we can change this.
All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

A Journey Through Dementia and Hope for Research
In the shadows of dementia, I witnessed my mum gradually fade away. Her nurturing spirit, once so full of life, dimmed as the illness claimed her memories, piece by piece. Each day became a heartbreaking reminder of the person she once was, the person I missed, and I found myself grappling with overwhelming feelings of helplessness, grief and anger at the disease.
This personal journey has ignited a fierce determination in me to fight back against dementia. I refuse to let my mum's struggle be in vain. That’s why I am raising funds for research that could lead to breakthroughs in understanding and combating this cruel disease. It’s a mission fuelled by love and hope—hope that one day, no family will have to endure the slow loss of a loved one to dementia.
