Wares for AWareness - Running for Our Mum Kerry
On Sunday, 8 June, Wares for Awareness will be at in again by taking part in the Brisbane Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds for Dementia Australia. Our team is joining to honour our beautiful mother Kerry, who lives with Younger Onset Alzheimers, and provides us with endless inspiration to promote this cause.
Our team are taking part this year to raise awareness to break down the harmful stereotypes that lead to isolation and stigma for those living with Dementia and their families. We want to start conversations, promote education, understanding, and empathy, and work towards creating a dementia friendly future.
We'd love you to join us on the day, or contribute via a donation - no matter how big or small. Your support will go directly to the initiatives that aim to change lives, support families, and create a better understanding and awareness of Dementia.
Whether you're able to walk, jog, or donate, every step you take support a cause that is so important, and so meaningful to me. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Dementia and help create a world that honours their experiences, challenges stereotypes and fosters real change.
